In this unit we will study the structure of the skin and how that structure relates to the many functions of the integumentary system. in addition to studying the most common skin pathology conditions encountered in a primary care physician's office, we will also examine some of the rarer skin conditions that may have afflicted some particularly famous individuals in history. we will conclude the unit with an examination of thick skin under microscopy, and identification of several features of the epidermal and dermal layers.
